Landfill

You
are required to have COUPONS or TAGS to enter the Churchbridge
Landfill.
Those
who use the Landfill are still NOT placing
items in the right disposal area –Be advised that rules
must be followed - otherwise it means the Town Employees or
those attending the Landfill have to move items to the right
location.
Waste
or unwanted materials shall consist of normal household waste
materials or refuse remaining to be disposed of after recyclable
materials have been removed.
No Asbestos,
chemical or hazardous materials, batteries or tires shall
be permitted.
There
is a separate charge for depositing brick and concrete @ $8.00
per cubic yard.
The
Town of Churchbridge has a “Harassment Free” Policy
regarding ALL Employees – Including Landfill Attendants.
Bylaw
No. 8-98 a bylaw to regulate the Churchbridge Landfill any
person found guilty of an infraction shall be subject to a
fine of not less than two hundred ($200.00) dollars.
Town
of Churchbridge garbage pick-up day is
Tuesday at your front street curb.
Unless: Monday is a Public
Holiday, then pick-up is Wednesday. |
Garbage
Regulations:
- Garbage
receptacles or bags when filled shall not exceed 50 pounds
or they will be left at the curb.
- Garbage
refuse shall be placed in water-tight receptacles.
- No
person shall burn any garbage within Town Limits or at the
Churchbridge Landfill site.
