A
common attraction, especially for visitors traveling through
the town, is the Canada Dollar Coin located in the town on
the south side of Highway #16 on Bridger Road. The Town of
Churchbridge constructed this monument to commemorate Rita
Swanson, the artist resident of Churchbridge, whose design
was chosen to mark Canada's 125th birthday in 1992. With a
diameter of six feet, it is definitely worth the time to stop
and check out what is possibly the largest loonie you will
ever see! You may have seen this monument listed on the "www.bigthings.ca/sask/"
website which is dedicated to the fantastic and awe inspiring
monuments built by communities all over Canada.
